2013 Sweepstake Draw

On 23 August, the hallowed Strictlycad Sweepstake Draw for 2013 took place.  The draw was performed by an independent adjudicator (Mr Cad), expertly picking from with one hat (mug) full of Sweepstakees and one hat (bowl) full of pro-dancers.

However!  Disaster hath since struck the Strictlycad organisational skillz.  Poor Natbot is now out for injury.  (And *just* as I'd come round to her dead-eyed Aussie ways too - thanks to that wonderfully atrocious Michael Vaughan farmyard axe jive.  Ahhh the memories.  Ahhh the humanisation process.)

 

The really bad news is that Nat's not being replaced by Katya or Lilia or even Nicole Cutler, but everyone's 'favourite' limelight hogger and sulky madam Aliona Vilani.  And given the rumoured male celeb line up (low on hunkballs, high on 'I'll need to Google who that is'), we'll probably get to see A LOT of Aliona's trademark 'plonk partner at back of dance floor & writhe/wiggle/generally show off at the front whilst practically screaming LOOK AT ME'. *sigh*

 

But, back to sweepstake business! Laura has now got Aliona in the stake. Good luck Laura. Though considering Aliona’s luck (previous finalist and winner, 'injured' the year she got a duffer), it's probably no bad thing – from a gambling perspective.

 

As for the series itself, the launch show is Saturday 7th Sept, where we'll find out the celeb parings. Well I say 'celebs'. Len's going to have trouble recognising most of those faces. And he won't be alone...  At least we've got Feltz to look forward to.
